5 Things You Can Expect When Working With Me

Whether you're making a hire for an on-staff position or trying to find the right freelancer to work with, it's tricky to know what you're signing up for. Does this person work best independently or as a team? Are they punctual or always fashionably late? Are they a good communicator or require frequent nudges? Someone can say all the right things in an interview and then show different traits down the road. Not all personalities mesh or make for a great working relationship, and it's hard to know exactly what you're getting until some time has passed. When it comes to copywriters, the only one I can speak for is myself. And there are a few things I can tell you about myself that you'll always find to be true:

  1. I am proactive and responsive. You'll never have to wonder where a project stands or nudge me a few times to receive communication. I keep my clients in the loop with where projects stand, and won't let an email, text, or phone call go unanswered.

  2. Punctuality. If we have a video call or an in-person meeting scheduled, rest assured I will be there on time. If there's one thing that causes me anxiety, it's the idea of being late for something. And on the occasion I'm stuck waiting for a train (and that does happen relatively often in my town!), I will let you know if I'll be delayed a few minutes!

  3. You can rely on me. Have an important deadline? I'm your girl. I will always do what it takes to complete a project well and on-time. If there is something to be working on, know that I will be working on it. If it's important to you, it's important to me.

  4. I can be independent & a team player. I spend a majority of my time working independently from my home office and have a lot of success being productive that way. But if or when a project requires a video call, a team meeting, or a group chat, I love nothing more than bouncing ideas off of my team and working together toward a common goal.

  5. You'll have a friend for life. I pride myself on my ability to get along with just about anyone, and I'm thankful for the lasting friendships I've formed with former managers, peers, coworkers, and clients. Whether we're currently working together or just keeping in touch a decade later, I'm happy to catch up over a coffee!

If you're interested in working together, don't hesitate to reach out and ask for references! I'm happy to provide contact information for clients and managers past and present to back up these five points. :)
